For peak-action moments like a jump shot or swing follow-through, learn the rhythm of the motion and start the burst a beat before the peak. Reviewing your burst sequences afterward, you'll often find one or two frames right at the apex of the movement that are perfect for a trading card image.

The gap between smartphone and Canon DSLR shots shows most in low-light situations — gyms, evening games, and indoor arenas. If you're shooting in good natural light outdoors, a sharp smartphone photo will look excellent on card stock.
