Baseball Card Photo Template: Build Your Custom Card

A baseball card photo template is designed specifically for the 2.5 × 3.5-inch trading card format, with layouts, typography, and design elements that match the visual language of professional sports cards. Generic photo templates don't account for that format — they're made for social media posts, prints, or greeting cards. You upload a photo, select a template, fill in the text fields (name, position, stats, year), and preview the result before ordering. There's no file export, no layer management, and no learning curve. If you can upload a photo to social media, you can create a custom card. The template handles the design work automatically based on what you enter.

For sharp, clean print quality on a 2.5 × 3.5-inch card, you want a photo that's at least 600 × 840 pixels, though larger is always better. Most smartphone cameras today capture images well above that threshold. The most common issue we see is older or heavily compressed photos that have lost detail — those can print soft. If your photo was taken on a phone from the last few years and hasn't been repeatedly resaved, it'll almost certainly produce a great-looking card. Avoid screenshots when possible, as these often lose sharpness.

Most Snapshot orders are printed and shipped within one business day of being placed. Production takes one business day; shipping time is quoted at checkout for your address. We don't offer expedited shipping tiers, but the standard one-business-day production-and-ship timeline is fast enough that most customers don't need it. If you're ordering for an event, placing the order at least a week ahead is a safe buffer.

The templates work for any age and any level of play. We've shipped cards for T-ball players, Little Leaguers, travel ball kids, high school varsity players, college athletes, and adult rec-league players. The template designs themselves are sport-specific and sport-appropriate — they're not cartoon-themed or childlike. A card made for a 7-year-old looks just as sharp and professional as one made for a 17-year-old. The only thing that changes is the photo and the stat line you fill in.

You can customize the player's name, team name, position, jersey number, season year, and key stats such as batting average, home runs, RBIs, ERA, strikeouts, or whichever numbers matter most for that player's role. Some templates also include space for a short tagline or nickname. You're not locked into a fixed stat format — if a player's defining number is stolen bases or on-base percentage, you can feature that instead of a generic batting average. The flexibility is real, not just cosmetic.
