Why a team card beats another mug
Coaches collect mugs, whistles and team shirts every year. What they rarely get is something that marks one season with one group of kids. A card of the coach in the team's colors, with the record and a line from the players, does exactly that, and split across the roster it costs each family less than a coffee.
Ideas by sport
Use a real photo from the season and a stat the team will recognize.
- Basketball: the coach mid-timeout, with "Timeouts called: 41" on the back
- Baseball and softball: a dugout photo, with "Lineups written" or "Mound visits" as stats
- Soccer: a sideline shot, with the team's goal total for the year
- Hockey: a bench photo, with "Line changes called" as a stat
- Football: the coach with the team after the last game, and the final record
- Gymnastics, cheer and swim: a meet photo, with the team's best moments listed on the back
How a team parent can organize it
A team chat and one good photo are all it takes.
- Collect one good photo of the coach from the season.
- Agree on the text in the team chat: name, title, record and a short thank-you line.
- Order a card for each coach: one is $17.99, and five are $31.99 with free US standard shipping on orders of $30 or more.
- Have the players sign the back, then put it in the magnetic display case for the party.
Timing
For a team party before Christmas, check the arrival window at checkout against the party date. For gifts on Christmas itself, order by Monday, December 14 with standard shipping; the cards are expected by Wednesday, December 23.
