Getting a great softball photo
Softball is played outdoors in good light, so sharp photos are easy to come by. The classic card shots are a swing at contact, a pitcher mid-windup, or an infielder fielding a grounder — plus the always-reliable posed portrait in uniform.
Shoot from beyond the dugout side fence with the sun behind you. Backstop fences can intrude on shots, so angles from the side lines usually frame cleaner than straight behind home plate.
Build the card
Upload the photo, crop to frame the player, and choose a softball or baseball-style template. Add the name, number, position, team, and season or year.
On the back, hitters get batting average, home runs, and RBIs; pitchers get ERA, strikeouts, and win-loss record. A note about a tournament run or a walk-off hit makes it a keepsake.
