Why a small budget can still feel personal
Most Secret Santa gifts under $25 are interchangeable: a candle, a mug, a snack box. They are fine, and nobody remembers who gave them. A gift about the person stands out because it proves you know something about them.
A trading card does that at a fixed price. You bring the photo and the details; the card does the rest.
What to put on the card
Start from whatever your match talks about most.
- Their dog or cat, with stats like "Walks demanded: constant"
- Their kid's team, as a card for the family fridge
- Their own weekend sport: the 5K they ran, the pickleball league, the golf trip
- A favorite trip photo, framed as a "Rookie Season" card
Getting the photo without spoiling the surprise
Use a photo they have already shared, on a team page, in a group chat or on a public profile. If you need a better one, ask a friend of theirs. A sharp phone photo in good light is all the card needs.
If your group draws names online
Ship the card straight to your match by entering their address at checkout; the confirmation and tracking come to you. Checkout has no gift note, so send a message when the tracking shows it is close.
