Snapshot creates custom novelty cards intended for personal use — gifts, keepsakes, party favors, and personal collections. These cards are not licensed Pokemon products and shouldn't be sold or represented as official Pokemon trading cards. Using our cards as personal gifts, party giveaways, or decorative keepsakes is the intended use and completely fine. If you have specific questions about how you plan to use the cards commercially, we'd recommend reviewing any applicable trademark considerations on your end. The Rookie Box includes one rigid, clear magnetic case for displaying a standard card. The magnetic closure lets you protect the card while keeping the front visible. Extra cases can be added separately. MEGA cards use a protective sleeve instead.

At that scale, the card design and photo need to be high quality to look their best, so we recommend submitting the clearest image you have when ordering a MEGA. A MEGA card of someone styled like a Pokemon character makes for a genuinely striking piece of art — distinctive enough to work as a room focal point or a standout gift that doesn't get tucked in a drawer.

You upload your photo, choose a template from our library, fill in the text fields — name, any stats or descriptors you want on the card — and see the result in real time. If something doesn't look right in the preview, you adjust it before the order's placed. The whole process from upload to checkout typically takes about five minutes.

For the best print result, aim for an image that's at least 300 DPI at the intended print size — meaning a photo taken on a modern smartphone in decent lighting is usually more than sufficient. If you're pulling a photo from social media, be aware that platforms compress images, which can reduce quality. Downloading the original from your camera roll or cloud backup before uploading is always the better move. The Snapshot uploader gives you a live preview so you can spot any quality issues before checkout.
