The most important factors are lighting and focus — avoid blurry images or heavily shadowed faces, since the card format crops tightly and any blur will be noticeable at that scale. Portrait-orientation photos generally frame better within the 2.5" × 3.5" card dimensions. If your photo was taken in decent natural light and the subject is in focus, it'll print cleanly. Our templates are designed to complement good photos, not compete with them.
