Baseball player holding a custom printed Snapshot trading card showing his action photo and stats

Most players finish a season with a folder full of action photos and nowhere to put them. Generic photo prints don't capture what a trading card does — the stats on the back, the team logo, the feel of real card stock in someone's hand. You've seen those drugstore photo cards. They look exactly like what they are: a photo slapped on thin paper with no design thought behind it. That's not a baseball card. That's a disappointing souvenir that ends up in a junk drawer by April.

Snapshot prints custom baseball cards on professional card stock, using pro sports-card templates designed to match the look of cards you'd pull from an actual pack. Upload your best action shot, drop in your stats and name, and we handle everything else — printing, packaging, and shipping to your door in 2-3 days. Every order ships free with a magnetic display case included. Made in Des Moines, Iowa, USA.

Here's how the process works, from upload to holding your finished card.

Mistakes That Hurt Your Final Card (And How to Skip Them)

Using a screenshot instead of the original photo file

Screenshots compress your image significantly. Go back to your camera roll or ask your photographer for the original file. A blurry card is a permanent result.

Picking a background-heavy photo where you're small in the frame

The card format puts your subject front and center. A photo where you're far away or competing with background clutter loses impact fast. Closer, cleaner shots win.

Leaving stats fields blank or entering rough estimates

The back of the card is half the value. Pull your actual season stats before you sit down to customize — even a few real numbers look far more legitimate than empty fields.

Rushing through the preview without checking the card back

Most people scrutinize the front and click through the back too fast. Your stats, position, and name on the back are permanent once printed. Slow down and read every field.

Ordering too close to a hard deadline

The 2-3 day production window is accurate, but shipping adds days on top of that. Build in a buffer. If a senior banquet is on a Friday, don't place your order the Wednesday before.

What Makes Snapshot Cards Worth Keeping

Plenty of services will print a photo on cardboard. Very few produce something you'd actually want to display. Here's what's different about printing with Snapshot.

Professional Card Stock That Feels Right

There's a specific feel to a real baseball card — the rigidity, the weight, the way it doesn't bend when you hold it. Snapshot uses premium card stock that matches that tactile expectation. Pull one out of the magnetic case and it passes the hand test immediately.

Templates Designed Like the Real Thing

Our templates aren't generic rectangles with a photo box dropped in. They're structured like actual trading cards — front design, photo placement, name bar, position, and a full stats block on the back. The result reads as a baseball card, not a novelty print.

Free Magnetic Display Case Included

Every Snapshot order includes a magnetic case — the kind collectors use to protect cards worth protecting. You don't need to hunt down a separate case or worry about your card arriving bent. It's packed in and ready to display the moment you open the box.

Shipped in 2-3 Business Days, Free

We don't pad our timelines. Orders process fast on our Des Moines production floor, and every U.S. shipment goes out free. If you're ordering before a banquet, a season-end gift, or a birthday, the timeline is real and we stand behind it.

How to Print Custom Baseball Cards in Three Steps

The whole process takes less than ten minutes. No design software, no guesswork — just your photo and a few minutes of customization.

1

Upload Your Best Action Photo

Choose the shot that shows you at your best — a full swing follow-through, a diving stop at short, a pitcher in mid-release. High-resolution photos produce the sharpest results, but our team reviews every upload before printing. Horizontal or vertical both work depending on the template you pick. You're not locked into one crop.

2

Pick Your Template and Customize

Browse templates built to look like professional baseball cards — complete with position, jersey number, team name, and a stats block on the back. You choose the design, fill in your details, and preview the finished card before anything goes to print. The template library covers multiple styles so your card doesn't look like everyone else's.

3

Place Your Order and We'll Ship It Fast

Once you approve your design, your order goes straight to our production floor in Des Moines. We print on premium card stock, package your cards carefully, and ship them within 2-3 business days. Free shipping on every U.S. order. Your magnetic display case arrives with the cards — no extras to add at checkout.

Three steps. Two to three days. A card that holds up to a real comparison with the pros.

Players Across the Country Are Already Holding Their Cards

Snapshot ships custom baseball cards to players in all 50 states every week — from Little League teams in rural Iowa to travel ball rosters in Southern California. The orders that come back most often aren't team bulk orders; they're individual players who ordered one card, held it, and came back a week later to order packs for their family. That repeat behavior says more than any review.

Who's Actually Ordering These Cards and Why

From Little League to college ball, players across every level have a reason to hold their own card. These are the three most common scenarios we see.

The Personal Milestone Card

You hit .380 this season. You threw a no-hitter in June. You got moved up to varsity as a sophomore. These moments deserve more than a memory — they deserve documentation. A custom card captures the stats, the photo, the season, and the achievement in a format that doesn't fade the way memories do. Players order single cards for themselves or for parents who've been in every bleacher all season.

The End-of-Season Keepsake

Senior season ends fast. One game you're in the dugout with your teammates, the next you're in a cap and gown. Ordering a custom card before the final game gives you something physical from that chapter — your photo, your number, your stats. It's the kind of thing that sits on a shelf at college and doesn't feel embarrassing to have there.

The Gift From Someone Who Gets It

Parents, coaches, grandparents — anyone who's watched a player grind through a full season understands the significance of a real card with that player's face on it. It's a more personal gift than a jersey or a trophy. You can order a single card for $17.99 or a full pack. Either way, it arrives ready to give with no extra wrapping needed.

Straightforward Pricing, No Hidden Fees

Every Snapshot order includes free U.S. shipping and a magnetic display case. What you see is what you pay.

Single card starts at $17.99. Card packs are available up to $49.99. The MEGA poster card — an oversized 11×15 inch format that looks incredible framed — is $49.99. Free shipping applies to every order nationwide.

Compare that to a framed photo print with no stats, no design, and no case. The card wins on every point — and it costs less than a team dinner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I put real stats on the back of my custom baseball card?
Yes. That's one of the features that separates Snapshot cards from basic photo prints. Our templates include a stats block on the card back where you can enter your actual season numbers — batting average, home runs, RBIs, ERA, strikeouts, whatever stats matter for your position. You fill in the fields yourself, so the data is exactly what you want it to be. There's also space for your name, position, jersey number, team name, and season year. The back of the card looks like it belongs on a card — not like an afterthought.
What's the difference between a single card, a pack, and the MEGA card?
A single card ($17.99) is one standard-size baseball card with your photo and stats — the classic format. Card packs give you multiple cards, priced up to $49.99, which makes sense if you're gifting cards to family or want extras for different people. The MEGA card ($49.99) is a completely different format — an oversized 11×15 inch poster card that's meant to be framed and hung on a wall. It uses the same design system as the standard cards but blown up to a display scale. A lot of players order one MEGA alongside a standard pack. Each format ships with a magnetic case appropriate to its size.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No minimum. You can order a single card for $17.99 and that's a complete, valid order. There's no pressure to buy a pack if you only want one card. That said, packs make more economic sense if you're giving cards to parents, grandparents, or coaches — you get more cards for less per unit than ordering singles separately. The order process is the same regardless of quantity: upload, customize, approve, and submit. We print every order with the same care whether it's one card or a full pack.
What level of baseball is this made for — do I have to be on a travel team?
Not at all. Snapshot prints custom baseball cards for players at every level — Little League, rec league, middle school, high school JV and varsity, travel and club ball, college, and adult amateur leagues. The cards don't check your credential; they just need a photo and your information. A 9-year-old in rec ball gets the same premium card quality as a college pitcher. The point is that every player at every level has a season worth documenting, and the card format makes that documentation look legitimate rather than sentimental.
What is the magnetic case and why is it included?
A magnetic case — sometimes called a one-touch or screw-down holder — is the standard display and protection format for collectors and serious card owners. It's a rigid plastic case with a magnetic closure that holds the card flat, protects the corners and surface, and lets you stand the card up or display it on a shelf without it sliding around. Snapshot includes one with every order because the card deserves to arrive presentation-ready. You shouldn't have to order a case separately after spending money on a custom card. The case ships with the cards, not in a separate package.
Can I customize the team name and logo on the card?
You can enter your team name as text, and many of our templates include space for that branding. For logos, you can upload a custom image — a team logo file, for instance — depending on the template you select. We don't hold licenses to professional MLB team marks, so if you want a card that features an official MLB team logo, that's outside what we offer. But for your actual team's logo? Yes, upload it. Youth leagues, travel ball programs, high school teams, and college clubs all have their own marks, and we can incorporate those into your card design.
Where are Snapshot cards made?
Every Snapshot card is printed and produced in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. We're not outsourcing production overseas or routing orders through a third-party fulfillment network. When you place an order, it goes to our production floor in Iowa, gets printed there, inspected there, and shipped from there. That matters for two reasons: quality control stays in-house, and shipping timelines are predictable. We know what our machines produce every day. There's no variable of a distant facility handling your order differently than how we'd handle it ourselves. Made in Iowa means exactly that.
What if I'm not happy with how my card turned out?
Reach out to our team directly. We stand behind every card we print, and if something went wrong with the print quality — color accuracy, image sharpness, a production defect — we'll make it right. We review every photo and design before printing specifically to catch problems before they become problems. If you approved a design and it printed exactly as shown, that's on the preview stage, which is why we encourage you to look carefully before submitting. But print errors, damage in shipping, or a quality issue on our end? We fix those. Contact us through the site with your order number and a photo of the issue.
