Snapshot is a custom card printing service — not exclusively a sports card company, even though sports cards are our primary category. The process is identical regardless of the image or purpose: you upload art, choose a template, and we print a premium card. MTG players use Snapshot specifically because the output looks and feels like a real card, not a printout. For the best printed result, you'll want an image that's at least 300 DPI at card size, which typically means a minimum of around 750×1050 pixels for a standard card. Higher is always better — if your artist delivered a 3000×4200 pixel file, use that version. Compressed JPEGs with heavy artifacts can show up in print, so a clean PNG or high-quality JPEG is ideal. If you're unsure about your file, our team reviews every order before it goes to print, and we'll flag any image quality concerns before production runs.

Yes. Snapshot cards are printed to standard trading card dimensions — the same 2.5" × 3.5" size as official MTG cards. Your custom token will fit in standard card sleeves, Ultra Pro toploaders, and any storage binder or box designed for trading cards. This is one of the key differences between a Snapshot-printed token and something produced on a home inkjet — the dimensions are exact, not close. You won't need to trim, adjust, or sleeve it separately from the rest of your deck.

Absolutely. Many Commander players order 5–10 tokens in a single session — one card per creature type their deck generates. You can order individual cards at $17.99 each, or take advantage of pack pricing (up to $49.99) if you're ordering several at once. Each card can use a completely different image and template, so your 1/1 Squirrel token and your 5/5 Demon token can each have their own distinct art. There's no requirement to use the same image across an order, and each card gets its own free magnetic case.

Production takes 2–3 business days at our Des Moines, Iowa facility. Shipping via standard US mail adds 2–5 business days depending on your location. So realistically, most customers in the continental US receive their cards within 5–8 business days of ordering. Rush situations — like ordering a token for a weekend tournament — are best placed early in the week. Free shipping is standard on every order, so there's no option to pay for expedited service at checkout currently. Plan ahead when timing matters.

Every Snapshot order includes a free magnetic case — that's included in the base price, not sold separately. The magnetic case protects your card from corner wear, bending, and surface scratches during shipping and beyond. Most custom printing services either ship cards in a simple paper sleeve or charge extra for hard cases. We include it by default because a card that arrives damaged isn't a card we're proud of. If you're displaying a token rather than gaming with it, the magnetic case doubles as a clean display stand.

Yes, as long as you have the rights or a license to reproduce that artwork. If you commissioned a piece specifically for personal use as an MTG token, you likely own the usage rights — but it's worth confirming with your artist if you're unsure, especially if they retain copyright. Snapshot doesn't evaluate intellectual property on your behalf, so it's your responsibility to use images you have the right to reproduce. For personal-use tokens using your own photography, original art, or properly licensed work, you're good to go.

The MEGA card is Snapshot's 11"×15" oversized format, priced at $49.99. It's dramatically larger than a standard card — roughly poster-sized — and it's printed on the same professional card stock as our standard cards. MTG players have used the MEGA format to display their commander's art, commemorate a tournament win, or frame a piece of custom artwork. It doesn't function as a game token since it's far too large to play with, but as a wall display, a framed piece, or a gift for a fellow player, it's genuinely striking.

Snapshot can print any custom card you design — technically, the service doesn't distinguish between token art and proxy art on the production side. That said, using proxies in official tournament play is governed by each tournament's rules, and Snapshot-printed cards won't carry official set symbols or holograms. For kitchen table games, Commander nights with friends, or casual local play where proxies are accepted, Snapshot-printed cards look far more legitimate than inkjet printouts. Always check your local store's policy before bringing proxies to a sanctioned event.
