Standard templates
A standard template is a designed layout with a place for the photo, the name, the number, the team, and the stats. When you upload a photo the builder cuts the player out of the background, fits it into the frame, and renders the card immediately. Change the text or crop and the preview updates on the spot.
Because the render is exact, what you see is what prints. These templates are open to signed-out visitors.
AI-generated templates
An AI-generated template uses the player photo as the subject and generates original artwork around it: a scene, a setting, effects. The result is different every time, so two players on the same template get different cards. Generation takes a short wait rather than being instant, and the builder shows the finished card for you to accept or regenerate.
These templates require a free account and appear locked in the template picker until you sign in. Signing in brings you straight back to the card.
Which to choose
Standard templates are the safer pick when you want control and speed, want to match a team set, or are building signed out. AI templates suit a one-off showpiece card where an original scene is the point. Many families make one of each of the same player.
What does not change
The printed product is the same either way: the same 2.5" x 3.5" trading card stock, the same box prices, the same holographic option, the same magnetic case with a Rookie Box.
