Why the preview is the proof
The card you see in the builder is rendered from the same design data the print process uses, at card proportions. That is why the preview and the printed card match: they are the same picture. A traditional proof exists to show you what a printer will produce; here the builder shows it directly.
What to check
Go through the card the way a stranger would read it.
- ✓Spelling of the name, team, and position, and the jersey number
- ✓Every stat and the year on the back
- ✓The photo crop: zoom in to confirm it is sharp and nothing important is cut off
- ✓Logo, signature, and colors where the template offers them
- ✓The badge, if you added one, and its edition size
What the preview cannot show
Two physical things do not appear on a screen. Color can vary slightly between a monitor and print, which is normal and not treated as a defect. And the holographic layer is a physical finish, so its light-shifting effect is something you see on the card in hand rather than in the preview.
Nothing changes after checkout
Once you pay, the order is stored exactly as previewed and text is locked. Typos are not covered by the replacement policy, so the preview check is the one that matters. If you spot a mistake immediately after ordering, email support at once with the order number.
